  • Paul Kennedy: I will miss Jean very much. Jean was one of my best friends. She was a rare person who was able to preserve traditional values, yet she also managed to stay in tune with contemporary trends. Jean and I discussed anything and everything under the sun! I will always value and appreciate her. Jean's father was one of my first customers in 1982. My grandmother came to California from Kansas in the 1930's, and while they were never acquainted, Floyd & Leah (Jean's mom) treated me like family. When Jean came to California several years ago it took some time for me to earn her respect. Earning her respect & friendship mattered to me! Jean appreciated the arts, was very well read, she dedicated her life to teaching (I wish my son could have had her as a teacher), and she was always a joy to talk to. I consider her friendship to be a blessing.
