Cheryl Yvette Syvertsen was born in Oxnard, California on January 15, 1951, the 3rd of 4 children to Clarence (Sy) and Yvette (Pat) Syvertsen. She was educated at St John’s Lutheran school and graduated from Channel Islands High School in 1969.

She then took a job as a telephone operator for GTE(Verizon) and rose through the corporate ranks to retire 29 years later as the Head of National Billing. She had residences in Marina del Rey, Newbury Park, Newhall, Oregon and Valencia. She loved good food and cooking and her beloved cats. She had suffered poor health for most of the last 15 years and passed away January 7, 2018 in St Vincent’s Hospital, Los Angeles.  Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother Michael Syvertsen. She is survived by brother, Jim Syvertsen; sister, Susan Williams and family, and the family of Michael Syvertsen. She is now at peace and sadly missed by all

    The family would like to thank all those who helped and cared for Cheryl especially those long term care-givers who became family.

   Funeral services will be conducted at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo in the Chapel of the Islands, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
