Jean M. Rom practiced an approximately fifteen-year career as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts and California. She enjoyed reading, singing, and stage productions. For some years she sang with Sweet Adelines and in a church choir. For a number of years she bowled in local leagues. For about a decade she served as a docent for the Ventura County Museum. Her husband of fifty-three-and-one-half years, Joseph W. Rom, preceded her in death on December 21, 2010. She is survived by: three sons, Will, Frank, and John; three daughters, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Catherine; four granddaughters, Brenda Templin, Valerie Templin, Ciarra Mora, and Aryana Mora; her brother and sister-in-law, Don & Sue MacVean of Maryland; nephew, Christopher MacVean; and niece, Carrie Grimes.

     A graveside service will be held at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
