Kathy Ann King was born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 8, 1959 and died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Ventura, California. She was raised in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and after graduating from Chelmsford High School Kathy was employed by Raytheon Company, Lowell, Massachusetts before moving to Santa Barbara in 1987.

    She attended Moorpark College, Ventura College and Sawyer College where she studied Electromechanical Drafting and Computer Aided Drafting (AutoCAD). Kathy also took art classes at Ventura College and was an accomplished artist showing her work in Ventura area. Kathy is survived by her son, Kristopher King of Los Gatos; her brother, Eric King of Santa Paula; and stepbrothers, Olend King of Nicaragua, Darryl King of Florida and Conrad King of Palm Springs, California. She is also survived by her three parents: Elizabeth (Sheldon) King of Ventura, California and Carol and Richard W. King of Palm Springs, California; her Aunt Jeanette Peters of Largo, Florida and Aunt Pamela Sheldon and Uncle Richard Sheldon of Middletown, Rhode Island.

     Kathy was employed as an AutoCAD Drafter by Wilwood Engineering for the past 20 years. In her spare hours she volunteered her many talents for (C.A.R.L.) the Canine Animal Rescue League in Santa Paula, California.

     The family wishes to thank all of Kathy’s wonderful friends who so graciously gave her comfort and aided her during her illness.

    Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 , 2:00 pm Conejo Mountain Funeral Home Chapel of the Islands 2052 Howard Road ,Camarillo Ca. At 1:00 pm a private viewing for family shall  precede the 2:00pm Chapel services open to friends and coworkers. 

     An additional memorial service and reception celebrating Kathy’s life shall be held at a later date and time.  Kathy’s family asks that in Lieu of flowers, please make a donation of Kathy’s name to C.A.R.L. (info@carlvc.org.  Arrangements entrusted to Conejo Mountain Funeral Home.
