Marian TrachselJuly 18, 1933 ~ September 26, 2017 (age 84)
Marian Trachsel, a long-time resident of the Camarillo area, died Tuesday the 26th of September at Ventura County Medical Center. She passed away peacefully and in the company of her family.
Marian Trachsel was born July 18th 1933 in Madera California. She moved to Camarillo in 1965 where she resided till her passing. She was a 3rd grade teacher at El Descanso, where she taught for most of her career. She was an avid reader and couldn't pass up a good book. Marian's favorite past time was gardening. She has such a passion for flowers and was the woman to know if you needed any sort of plant identified. She spent lots of time tending her garden and wanted to be remembered for the lush garden she once had at her old address. Marian spent her free time playing bridge with her girlfriends and being a docent at the Camarillo Ranch House. At the Ranch House, she enjoyed getting out and dressing up and teaching people about "how life used to be". This past summer, she rekindled a family connection with her brother Ken in fabulous Las Vegas. She much enjoyed seeing her brother and sharing stories with their respective families about their lives growing up.
She is survived by her brother John Kenneth Jones (88) of Bisbee Arizona, son John Eric Trachsel (Chryssi) of Moorpark California, daughter Karen Pesta (Brian) of Henderson Nevada, and her 7 grandchildren Sharayah Temple, Kirsten Temple, Shannon Todd, Meghan Pesta, Kevin Keane, Kaitlyn Keane, and Jake Trachsel. One great grandson Lincoln Todd, nephew Curtis Jones, nieces Valerie Ellis and Nancy Jones, and her best friends Katie Miller and Mary Jo McPherson.
The family wishes to thank ICU nurse Moe of Ventura County Medical Center for the loving care she provided Marian in her final hours.
