I treasure my memories of working with her at El Descanso School for many years. I appreciated her work ethic but most of all I loved her delightful sense of fun and humor. Whether she was leading third graders in the school Halloween parade dressed as a scary looking witch, or bringing humor to a boring staff meeting, or assuming her own persona of Liz Taylor, it always brought about much-needed smiles among the staff.. Always she was an icon of fashion and style who will be missed.

Marian was a lovely, classy lady and will be missed by our two bridge groups. I knew her as a teacher for many years and, more recently, as a friend. She was generous, smart , warm and funny. Rest in peace, Marian.

It is clear, from what you've shared with me, that she was a loving, warm matriarch in your family and will most certainly be missed.
