I met Robert through an Internet discussion group to which we both belonged and was on his distribution list for interesting photo collections, unusual information, and jokes. I sometimes passed on what I got from him to others I thought would enjoy the forwards and thanked Robert for what he had sent. He was quite a gentleman, since he always wrote back that I was welcome--which wasn't really even necessary and which most folks wouldn't have bothered to do.
Robert always seemed to be in a good mood. No one would have guessed that he had health concerns, so the news of his passing came as quite a shock. I will miss him and his cheerful messages. I can imagine how much he meant to his family and hope they will find consolation in the undoubtedly happy memories they must have of Robert.

I met Bob through the University of New Mexico Alumni Association - Greater Los Angeles area chapter ... Bob would frequently call to check in on me ... tell me a few jokes and reminisce about UNM! He donated to the local chapter scholarship fund many times in my honor ... today I will make a donation in memory of my longtime Lobo amigo!
