Walter Frederick Hauser

Walter Frederick Hauser was born in San Francisco, CA on June 23, 1932 to Carl and Gladys Hauser. Dad and his older brother Carl were primarily raised by their mother. Their father passed away when the boys were at a young age. While growing up dad enjoyed exploring the San Francisco area. After high school, he attended San Mateo Junior College then State University of San Jose. He proceeded to earn his bachelor's degree in 1955 and doctorate degree in pharmacy at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center in 1956. While working as a pharmacist in San Carlos he met the love of his life Marylyn Elizabeth Russell and they were married on July 3, 1965. Together they had four children John, Gary, Lynn & Brian. In 1972 mom and dad moved to Camarillo, CA where they both worked at the Camarillo State Hospital. Dad worked as the Director of Pharmacy. In addition, he actively served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves where he retired as Lieutenant Colonel. While the children were young they enjoyed traveling throughout the states during the summer months. Tragically, their daughter Lynn passed away in 1996 which caused them great sadness. After retirement, Walt and Marylyn enjoyed years of travel together which gave them many special memories. Walt was survived by children John, Gary, Brian; and grandchildren Christian, Alexis, Danielle, Gian, Linn. His wife Marylyn preceded him in death on April 19, 2021.
