Wayne C. Rauschenberger, left us peacefully on April 10th, 2024 (age 73) surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Wayne lived a life filled with love for his family and was known for his sense of humor, wisdom, and optimistic spirit.

Wayne was born in 1950 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Patricia Joan Morrison and Raymond Wayne Rauschenberger, the eldest of seven siblings. Wayne attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Oxnard, Santa Clara High School and Camarillo High School (Class of 1968). During his teens he worked at his parent’s store “The Music Center/Ray’s TV’s” and was active in baseball and football.

After turning 18, Wayne served in the US Army Signal Corps stationed in Darmstadt, Germany. After being honorably discharged, he married his first wife Irene, with whom he had two daughters, Veronica and Vanessa. They lived in San Jose, CA while he earned a Bachelor’s in Accounting from SJSU. In his late 20’s, Wayne survived a tragic accident while camping which resulted in significant burns on the lower half of his body. During his recovery, Wayne and his family returned to Oxnard, CA and got a job with Northrop Grumman in Newbury Park, where he worked for over 23 years, eventually becoming the Controller for the Commercial Aircraft Division.

In 2000, Wayne began working at Vivendi Universal as the Director of Finance for the Corporate Global Real Estate Division where he worked for several years before teaming up with Pacifica Ventures to manage studio operations, most notably the Culver Studios.

In 2006, Wayne married the love of his life, Debbie. They enjoyed many wonderful years together, blending their families while living in Newbury Park and playing golf with friends. Wayne was considered King of the Barbeque and enjoyed grilling tri-tip and chicken for his friends and family.

In 2010, Wayne took on the role of Chief Operating Officer at ABQ Studios, where he oversaw the smooth running of studios hosting blockbuster productions such as “Breaking Bad” and “Avengers”. Living in Albuquerque allowed Wayne and Debbie to try out new golf courses and host visits with family and friends enjoying the Annual Balloon Fiesta, which could be viewed from their home.

After officially retiring in 2018, the couple relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. During these years, Wayne could often be found organizing golf tournaments, enjoying his favorite cigars, spending time with friends, family, and Shih Tzu's Lexi and Ozzy.

Throughout his life, Wayne was recognized for his commitment to taking on life’s challenges and seizing opportunities. He possessed many talents and tackled every challenge with determination, intelligence and perseverance.

Wayne was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by his nephew Eugene (Gino), sister Jane, and his parents Patricia and Raymond. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Debbie, his daughters Veronica (Maria), Vanessa (Justin), Laura, Carrie, Jayme (Spencer), grandchildren, Addison, Kadyn, Madison, Adrianna, Kenneth, Gianna, Enzo, Paige, and Gavin, his siblings, Joan (Dan), Margie (Jimmy), Ron (Leslie), Judy-Ann (John), Becky (Derenda), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

We extend our gratitude to the medical communities of MD Anderson Cancer Center, whose care extended Wayne’s life and gave him time to enjoy his favorite places with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nathan Adelson Hospice Foundation at www.nah.org in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11am at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home in Camarillo, CA.
