Port Hueneme

Antoinette “Anna” Carmella Frash

In loving memory of Antoinette “Anna” Carmella Frash, 84 of Port Hueneme, CA who passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center peacefully surrounded by her adoring family. Anna was a 15 year Breast Cancer survivor.  She married her best friend and the love of her life, Charles “Chic” Frash in December of 1952, who preceded  her in death on July 26, 2003.

Anna was born on June 13, 1933 in Malden, Massachusetts, to Sebastian and Angelina Cocco, and had been a resident of Port Hueneme for 64 years.  She was a life member of the Oxnard Loyal Order of the Moose 561, and Anna was honored as their 2010 Valentine “Sweetheart Moosette” Queen recipient.   She was a homemaker and devoted mother of six, who enjoyed spending time with her family.  Christmas was special to her because family always gathered together at her home. Anna enjoyed a good meal, whether it was brought in or eating out. It could be Italian, Mexican, fast food, sweet or savory, she liked it all.

Anna looked forward to going to Henderson, NV. with her daughter to visit family.  She always made sure to  hit the slots, at least a couple of times, and would include a great Prime Rib dinner.   She, also, loved to visit with her four legged companion Tankie Marie, who never left her side while she was in Henderson.  Anna deeply touched the lives of many and was more family than friend to those that knew her.  Her hobbies and interests were watching  “listening” to baseball games, Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, game shows, and collected a variety of  bird houses and owls.

She will be dearly missed by her six children, who were her pride and joy, Mary Ann Towers,  Richard (Katrina Sexton) Frash, .Ronald Frash, Patricia Frash, Roger (Debbie) Frash, Robert (Carol) Frash; her thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy Towers, Michelle (Steve) Varela, Amy (Allen) McFall, Josh (Kendall) Towers, Kristy (Bre) Giroux, Jeff (Chaney) Frash, Rikki Frash, Mason Sexton, Jason Frash, Justin (Jenna) Frash, Lauren Frash, Robert Frash, Ryan Frash; her twenty great-grandchildren, Tyler, Coral, Ethan, Tessa, and Jack Towers, Brice (Matt) Montanez, Stevie and Olivia Varela, Brendan Towers and Austin McFall, Ryan and Elizabeth Towers, Cassidy, Emily and Hannah Willeford, Rosary, Kayden and Xavier Frash, Jayde Frash and Robert Frash Jr., her two great-great grandchildren, Malia and Keidan Montanez, all of whom gave her much happiness.  She will, also, be missed by her large extended family and many friends.  Her memory will live in our hearts forever.

Weep not for me though I have gone

Into that gentle night

Grieve if you will, but not for long

Upon my soul’s sweet fight

I am at peace, my soul’s at rest

There is no need for tears

For with your love was so blessed

For all those many years

There is no pain, I suffer not

The fear is now all gone

Put now these things out of your thoughts

In your memory I live on

Remember not my fight for breath

Remember not the strife

Please do not dwell upon my death

But celebrate my life
