Carol was born May 11, 1935 in San Juan, Texas to Fern and Leavelle Spencer. She grew up in the Rio Grande Valley riding horses, playing in the school band and on the basketball team.

Carol married Kenneth Wilhite at age 19 and then they had four children together: Karen, Blaine, Wayne and Diana. They moved to Camarillo in 1962 to raise their family. After graduating from San Fernando Valley State College, Carol taught 4th grade at Valle Lindo Elementary School for 35 years. She won Teacher of the Year in 1987-88.

Carol was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church and a Charter Citizen of the City of Camarillo. After marrying Dean Hahn in 1977, she became an avid bowler and continued until 2016. In later years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and traveling.

Carol passed away on August 3, 2017 due to complications of Alzheimer’s.

She is survived by children, Karen Davis (Steve), Wayne Wilhite (Kathy) and Diana Fazio (John); daughter-in-law, Cheryl Wilhite; seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Timothy, Jesse, Nicholas, Dana, Ashley, Tyler; eight great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dean; son, Blaine; her parents; and sisters.
