Carol Sue Trumpy

Carol Trumpy was born in Dearborn, MI., to Jack and Helene Barr. They moved to Covina, CA in 1957 and then to Thousand Oaks in 1963, where she graduated from Thousand Oaks High School, class of 1974. She graduated from Pacific Christian College and went on to work for the Auto Club of So. Cal for 30 years, mostly at the Thousand Oaks branch. She retired in 2016 and has lived with her husband, Tom, in their home in Thousand Oaks for 35 years, where they raised two children, David and Julianne (Roll). They also raised Tom’s two sons, Russ and Chris.

Carol was an active member at Bethany Baptist Church and more recently at Living Oaks Church. She was actively involved in children’s ministries at both churches along with numerous other ministries. Carol loved traveling and camping in their travel trailer. Her favorite place to go was Yosemite. She loved having the whole family over for the holidays, cooking up the traditional meals. She was a friend to everyone, always happy with a contagious smile, and was often referred to as an angel on earth. The center of her life was her Savior, Lord Jesus, whom she is now in the presence of.

Carol is survived by many extended family members, as well as her father, Jack Barr, husband, their four children, and two granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her mother, Helene Barr, and brother, David Barr.

There will be a memorial service at Living Oaks Church on Sept. 18 at 10:00 AM, followed shortly by a private family graveside service at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park.
