Celia Wolin

Celia Wolin, age 67, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. During her years of treatment, Celia received the very best medical care from a compassionate and multi-specialty staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California

Celia was born on July 13, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York, the first of two children from Jenny and Herman Saifer. Celia was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York and shortly after her graduation from John Adams High School in Ozone Park she headed to southern California where she lived for 45 years. Celia became a professional skin care and nail technician. She was recognized for her excellence in the field from fellow professionals and clientele alike, and was interviewed on two occasions by local Los Angeles television news outlets.

Celia’s personality lit up every room she entered. She was always a caring listener and a kind-hearted soul. Celia simply loved life, loved to dance, and enjoyed dressing up complete with complementary accessories. Most of all, she absolutely loved her family and her friends.

She is survived by her brother Philip and sister-in-law Paula from Orange California, as well as her nephew and his wife Erin and Lexi Kirk of Brea, California and their twin children, Bennett and Emery, all her beloved family from Israel, her girlfriend Maryanne Calandron of Sherman Oaks, California and long-time best friend Lorraine Rose of Camarillo, California. Celia will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Private services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in the loving memory of Celia Wolin to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Attn: Laura Asok, 8700 Beverly Blvd., Suite 2416, Los Angeles, California 90048.
