Charlie (Tuna) Alvidrez, 57, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018, at home in Camarillo, CA after a lengthy illness.
Charlie was born on September 9, 1960 in Camarillo, CA to Steve and Suzanna Alvidrez. As a child, Charlie spent much of his time playing his favorite sport; baseball. He quickly developed into an outstanding pitcher who was often featured in the local newspaper for his ability to pitch no-hitter games.
Soon after graduating from Camarillo High School, Charlie followed in his father's footsteps and made a career in construction. He was a detailed and meticulous handyman with the desire to learn as many skills as possible. Charlie had the ability to envision a task and the talent needed to create a beautiful finished product.
Charlie then married Rita Biggerstaff. The couple was married for just a few short years before Rita became ill and eventually passed away. Several years later, Charlie was lucky enough to find love again with Laura Davis. Together, the couple had one son; Travis Alvidrez.
He is survived by his son; Travis, his parents; Steve and Suzanna, his two brothers; John and Sam, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Rita. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Services for Charlie will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, 10:00 A.M., at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA 93012.
