Tribute

Diane Gordon  dearly loved, a true lady through and through who will forever be in all our hearts.

Diane was born to Jake and Vera Pelz Turner in Cucamonga, California on September 25, 1951 and passed into rest with her Lord Jesus on August 8, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.

Diane Turner grew up in Tulare, California where she attended Tulare Union High School. She met the love of her life Dennis Gordon through his younger brother Ricky. They married January 17, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home in Tulare, California. They raised 6 children; Demarie, Desiree, Dennis Lee, Dolly, Darla and Alyssa all who were born in California.

Diane a devoted wife and mom was proud of all of her children. She did everything possible for them and was there for every moment in their lives no matter how big or small. She volunteered and or taught at their schools, in their clubs at church and extracurricular activities. When her eldest daughter wanted to twirl baton but there were no baton schools around, Diane created the award winning Sugar Time Express with the help of her husband Dennis which became a success with 100+ students performing in parades and competitions from 1976-1983. In 1977 shortly after their eldest daughter Demarie succumbed to Leukemia, the family moved to West Covina, California where Dennis advanced in his career at Southern California Gas Company.

Above everything else, Diane loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thanks to her Aunt Aileen who planted the seed when she was a little girl, Diane devoted her life to studying the Bible and witnessing to all. In the early and mid-1990’s Diane was the Regional Director of Child Evangelism Fellowship where she taught children the love of Jesus, His word and brought hundreds of them to salvation. Diane continued her passion to study the Bible and earned both her Bachelors Church Ministry Degree and Ministers License in 2008.  In 1996 along with Dennis she created Faithful Light Ministries in Monrovia, California. Through Faithful Light Ministries, Diane continued her study of God’s holy Word and researched through archeological evidence to match up where hard facts and science prove that our Bible is true. She is an amazing author creating numerous studies which she publishes all for free. She has created Bible Journey’s through the Old & New Testaments, Topical Studies, Prayer Cards, Biblical Holy Days studies, Life Tracks and worship sets for both adults and children. Her legacy of love for Jesus, finding His truths and witnessing will live on for generations to come.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Demarie and grandson Joshua. Diane is survived by her loving husband Dennis and her five children: Desiree (grandchildren Heather, Noah & Jacob), Dennis Lee, Dolly (husband Curt, grandchildren Blake F, Blake H, Paige, Max & Grant), Darla (husband Mike, grandchild Joey), and Alyssa.

Diane is dearly loved and sorely missed by her husband Dennis and all her family and friends. God bless you Diane until we meet again at the last trumpet call when we shall rise up together to meet Jesus in that heavenly city, and thus we shall forever be with the Lord.
