Donald A. George

On March 29, 2018, Donald A. George was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven. Don was born on December 2, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Don was raised in Houston, Texas, and would spend his childhood on the Texas plains until he was 18, where his journey with the United States Navy began. After several deployments, including Vietnam, and many temporary homes, Don retired from the Navy in 1975 as a Chief Petty Officer and settled down with a permanent address in Camarillo, CA.

Don married Rebecca Mary Palafox on January 6, 1959, and they enjoyed a wonderful 59 years of marriage together. They spent much of their time traveling to different parts of the world to sightsee and find collectibles to add to their collection, and he was always on the hunt to find treasure with his metal detectors at any spare moment on their journey as that was his passion. Together, they had two boys: Donald S George of Camarillo and Harold George of Somis. They were further blessed with three grandchildren: Dillon George and Hunter George of Somis and Katrina George of Camarillo as well as great grandson Zailon Martinez of Camarillo.

Don was a genuine person. A true gentleman, very kind, very strong-willed, a warrior, and a fearless leader. Whether you were family or friend, he would do anything to make sure you were happy, even if it meant sacrificing his own happiness. One of a kind, and will truly be missed.
