Jean Woodson, age 87, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 16, 2022 with loved ones by her side. Jean was a lovable and caring woman who devoted her life to her family, faith, and friends.

Jean was born in 1934 on the 6th of November in Chicago Illinois and grew up in Long Beach California where she attended Polytechnic High School and went on to attend Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa where she graduated in 1954. She went on to accept positions at the Pleasant Valley School District as a Health and Administrative Clerk where she remained a faithful and dedicated employee for fifteen years until she retired.

Jean was blessed with a large and loving family with whom is rooted in Christ. She married her loving husband and best friend, Frank Woodson on August 19, 1956 in Long Beach, California. Together Jean and Frank raised three beautiful children with generosity, love, and kindness. She was also a doting grandmother to seven adoring grandchildren in which she loved and spoiled beyond measure.

Jean thoroughly enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing the piano and the organ, spending time with family and friends, and nurturing her relationship with Christ through her attendance at Community of Christ in Ventura, California where she was a member for over forty years.

Jean is preceded in death by parents Everett and Dorothy, husband Frank, and eldest son Mark. She is survived by Mark’s children, Matt, Molly, and Paris, daughter Shelley, sons Garrett and Ryan, son Brian, wife Danelle, daughters Caitlyn and Maddy, brother Bob, wife Kay, brother Denny wife Cheryl, sister-in-law Peggy and brother-in-law Ted.

We know that God is pleased to have one of His kind and generous angels back in His arms where she belongs. She will be greatly missed but, her spirit will live on in all of those she touched throughout her lifetime.

The service for those who would like to celebrate the amazing life that Jean lived, will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home in Camarillo, California on November 5th at 11 a.m. Her burial to follow will be held on November 6th at 12:45 p.m. in Westminster, California at Westminster Memorial Park and Mortuary. Please wear bright colors as requested by Jean’s family.
