Edward Hernandez

Edward Hernandez Jr. from Oxnard, born on July 7, 1971 passed away at home peacefully on May 25, 2018. He was a long time resident of Oxnard Ca. having grown up in La Colonia, and attended Oxnard High School.  He spent much of his adult life working as and Operations Manager at Clamshell Buildings. He is survived by his father Edward Sr., his son Issac, daughters Janessa and Jenna, brothers Charlie, Erik, Angel, sisters Cathy, Aileen, Yvette, Compadres Thomas, Jamie, and several uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He is now rejoicing in Heaven with the company of his mother Nelly Hernandez, grandparents Gil and Nicolasa Hernandez, and several family and friends.

Edward lived his life to the fullest and will be remembered for being funny, helpful, loving and caring. He loved to be the center of attention always making people laugh with his goofy sense of humor. He was a natural comic, and would often play pranks on people.  He liked to ride his skateboard and his motorcycles fast wearing what he called his “uniform”; cutoff Dickies, t-shirt and some old school Vans. For a dressier occasion it was guaranteed that he would be wearing a Pendleton. He was a very creative person and his creativity was shown in some of his favorite past times which included painting pictures, and making leather crafts.  He loved to be outdoors, to go camping, and to Bar-B-Q. He would BBQ often and enjoyed feeding and entertaining his family and friends.  At home, he loved to read horror and sci-fi books, garden in the yard, or watch Horror movies.

Edward was a natural protector of those he loved.  He often made personal sacrifices to ensure that those he loved never went without what they needed. Now that he has earned his guardian angel wings, he will continue to watch over and protect those he loved. He would want his beloved family and friends to know that this is not good-bye, but rather until we meet again.
