Christy, you and I became friends as we chatted (huffed and puffed too) about the joys and challenges of aging parents and tight knit families. I am so happy that you opened up to me and we are now sharing support between us and blessing each others with prayers and love. I didn't know your daddy, but I know the beautiful woman you are and that he played a foundational role in who you are. Therefore I can say with certainty that I love him too. I pray for you and your family in this crazy time that you have strength from the Lord and comfort from the beautiful memories that will never leave your heart.

I love you dad! You were the best person that I have ever known. God gave you a special gift when it came to truly loving and caring for people. It has been an honor to be your daughter, the mother of 4 of your grandchildren and to call you my best friend. They say life isn't defined by the day you were born or the day you died, but by all the moments in between. You gave us so many memorable moments and we always knew how loved we were. You taught me generosity, compassion, loyalty and respect. Mom has told us that the best thing she ever did for us, was to give us such a great dad and she was right. She gave us a dad that showed us, how a woman should be loved and I think that is why we picked the amazing husbands that we did. You loved my mom with every fiber of your being and she love you right back. I couldn't begin to list all the ways you impacted my life, from the fun moments, to the hard moments, to the life lessons that you taught me along the way, words simply are not adequate but I think you knew how much you meant to me. I can't promise that I won't shed a million tears or cry river, but I can promise that I will keep your memory alive and do my best to carry on the legacy you have so beautifully built for me. I was going to say that I would make you proud, but I know that I already have. I love you forever and always! Christy
