It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of George Canning Perry, 24. He has found peace at last, God Rest His Soul.

George was born in Camarillo, California, July 31st, 1991, to Georgia Schultz Perry and Dennis K Perry. He passed away February 18th, 2016 from a skateboard accident, in Ventura, California. George attended Los Primeros School in Camarillo, Cabrillo Middle School, and was a 2010 graduate of Ventura High School. While in Camarillo, he was active in YMCA Adventure Guides (Y-Indian Guides) and Boy Scout Troop 808; he attained the rank of Life Scout, was inducted into the Order of the Arrow and participated in community service. In Ventura, George played Packer Football and gave time to City Corps in civic service. At Ventura High School, he worked backstage at the Festival of Talent and lettered in Football and Track, though sitting around waiting for events at track meets was difficult for him. George loved activity and adrenaline. Mountain biking, snowboarding, backpacking and skateboarding were his activities of choice. He was both tough and fragile. His heart was kind and, if a good sense of humor is a sign of intelligence, George was really smart.

Georgia, Dennis, and James Perry with Alan, Eric and Kathryn Schultz (his grandma, who was always his place of comfort, safety and love), wish to thank all of you that befriended, helped, guided, taught and assisted George through life. A special thanks to Transitions, Casa de Esperanza and TAY Tunnel. Our hearts go out to those involved in the accident and the first responders that arrived.

There will be a Celebration of Life for George at Arroyo Verde Park, Arroyo Corto BBQ area, in Ventura, on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at 1:00 PM.
