Geraldine (Geri) Louise Johnson was born January 18, 1928 in Almond, New York. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior July 3rd after a courageous battle with heart disease. As the daughter of a farmer, she grew up enjoying the animals that only life on a farm can offer. This resulted in her love for black and white cows that adorned the home she loved. Geri married Earl (Bill) William Watson in 1947. Together, they had three children. As a family, they lived in Camp Hill, PA, San Bernardino, CA, Redlands, CA, Citrus Heights, CA and finally put down roots in Camarillo, CA in 1973.
While in Camarillo, Geri delved into astrology, metaphysical studies, and eventually acupressure. As a massage/acupressure therapist Geri helped many clients for years. She had the opportunity to travel with her husbands. China, Alaska, and South America were her favorites.
Geri is preceded in death by her husbands, Earl William Watson and Edgar Allen Johnson; parents, Leo Leroy Dickinson and Mary Francis Burdick Dickson; all four siblings; and grandson, William Deane. She is survived by her three children, Patricia Doria (Anthony) of Tracy, CA, Carol Korth of Camarillo, CA, and Steve Watson (Jane) of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
The family thanks the caregivers at Accent Care for the loving care and compassion they showed to Ger. She looked forward to each one.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 12th at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA at 10 a.m., Viewing at 9 a.m.
