Tribute

On April 5, 2020, Giacomo (Jack) Dragotto lost his long battle with COPD at the age of 95 and we lost our father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Jack was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 1, 1924 and was one of eight siblings.  When he was only 3 years old, his father passed away at the age of 32, just as the Great Depression was beginning.  He was a proud World War II veteran (serving in Europe and in the D-Day invasion in Normandy) and a very proud father of 3 sons – survived by his sons Thomas and Michael – but had to endure the loss of his son Philip in 1989.

Jack was a master carpenter – who built several houses from the ground up and hundreds of pieces of fine furniture - that his family and friends will continue to treasure. We can all take comfort in the fact that he is not suffering from his COPD any longer and that he is in all of his glory in heaven with his wife Mary, his son Philip, his grandson Michael, and all of his brothers and sisters.  May he rest in peace.
