Jaime Doleen was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Ronald Curtis Lester and Dorothy Louise Lester. She was the third of five children. Her father made up her middle name because when she was born he said, “she looks like a little doll.” The family moved to the San Fernando Valley in Southern California when she was five and she graduated from Sylmar High School in 1969.

She married in 1971 and fulfilled her dream of becoming a mom with the birth of two daughters, Brande and Allison. She relocated to Ventura County in the late 1970s and in the early 1980s, she started working at the Port Hueneme Naval Base where she met the love of her life, Clifford Ryan Lederer. When they met, she said, “You look a lot like my second husband,” and slightly caught off guard, he asked, “How many times have you been married?” She answered, “once,” and the rest is history. They blended their families and married on February 29, 1988. Ultimately making their family home in Camarillo, CA.

Together they enjoyed camping, kayaking, biking, travelling, doting on their granddaughter, Brenna, and enjoying life together. From cross country road trips and vacations in Hawaii to going to the movies or spending time with their girls. If they were together, that was all they needed. They taught their girls that love is something we are all lucky to have and that true love really does exist.

She enjoyed her “Jaime Days,” and took them as often as possible. She loved camping with her cousins on the beach in Carpinteria, going to the casino with anyone and everyone who wanted to go, no road trip was too long, and she made the most out of every moment.

We will miss her every day. We will always wish we had more time but know we will see her again someday (and every day when we look in the mirror).

She is preceded in death by her amazing husband Cliff; her loving parents, Ron and Dorothy; her beloved older brother Don and younger brother Steven.

Jaime is survived by the daughters and granddaughter she adored, Brande, Allison and Brenna; her bonus daughter, Jennifer; her younger sister Diana; and an extended family with cousins that felt like siblings to her, as well as many lifelong friends.
