Tribute

Janet Wiltshire de Spain passed away on July 13, 2022 in Thousand Oaks due to complications from leukemia. Janet was born on July 25, 1941 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England to Ernest and Maude Wiltshire.  She met her first husband, Thomas Clark, while he worked for Douglas Aircraft Company in England.  They married, moved to Thousand Oaks where they raised their four children. Thomas preceded her in death in 1986.

Janet later married Arthur Lynn de Spain.  They were both avid swing dancers and enjoyed dancing with other couples in the community.  They remain married until his death in 2006.

Janet never forgot her British roots and often returned to England to visit family or have afternoon tea.  Her children often teased her because she never lost her British accent despite living in the United States for the last 60 years. Janet also enjoyed listening to Glen Campbell’s greatest hits.

Janet especially loved family times and holidays where she was surrounded by the love of her family.  She is survived by her children; daughters Cathy Nealon (husband, Ryan Nealon),  Wendy Caligiuri and sons Tom Clark (wife, Amy Van Sickle) and Michael Clark (fiancé, Cassandra Alabada), six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, her sister, Valerie Trussel (husband, Tim), their children and her family back in England.
