Tribute

Jill Alisa Scholler passed away at Cedars Sinai Medical Center on the early morning of June 1, 2022.  She was only 62 years old.  Her loving family, Charlie, Christy and Candace were by her side.  Jill was born on December 2, 1959.  She attended Grant High School in Van Nuys and Cal State Northridge.  When Jill was 18 she became ill with Hodgkin's lymphoma.  She was cured of Hodgkin's with intense radiation therapy which 40 years later resulted in serious heart problems.

Jill and Charlie Scholler met in 1975 and their first date was January 9, 1976.  They were married on August 22, 1981, just days before Jill and Charlie moved to Chicago so Charlie could attend dental school.  Jill worked as a waitress in various restaurants in the Chicago area so Charlie could get through dental school.  She earned her PHT degree, (Putting Hubby Through).

In 1986, Jill and Charlie welcomed their first born child, Christina, into the world.  From that point on, Jill  had her most challenging job as a full time mother and wife.  God blessed Jill and Charlie with their second daughter, Candace, in 1991.

From that point on, Jill had her hands full taking Christy to her dance lessons and competitions, and Candace to her tennis lessons and tournaments while playing tennis herself at Las Posas Country Club- all the while being the best wife anyone could possibly be.

Despite all of her health challenges towards the end, Jill was able to keep a very positive attitude.  She never would complain and was more concerned with how all of her friends and their families were doing.  Jill was an amazing person. She was friendly, kind, caring, compassionate, and seemed to be loved by everyone who met her. She had faith and the love of God and family.  Her family and the happiness of her children were the number one priority.  She was always smiling and would light up a room with that smile.  She was a great friend to so many people. She loved celebrating the accomplishments of others and loved staying connected with friends, especially for birthdays and holidays. It seems unusual to have so many people come forward and refer to Jill as "one of their BEST FRIENDS".  She impacted so many people's lives in ways she would never have known.  Everything from her kindness, generosity and optimism, to her wonderful cooking and baking had an effect on so many people.  So many people have a special memory of Jill for many different reasons.

Jill loved her garden.  Jill and Charlie would go on long journeys picking out just the right plant, pot or accessory for a gift, or for her own garden.  She would be in her peaceful place working in her garden and love planting things for gifts for friends.  Jill had a spiritual connection to hummingbirds and felt comfort in seeing them in her garden.

Her husband, Charlie, is so grateful to God that Jill came into his life and for the short 47 years they were together.  Jill was loved by so many people that, without a doubt, feel the same way.  To our beautiful Jill: you are with God now and free of pain.  We love you forever and will NEVER forget you.
