            It is with our deepest sadness to announce the passing of our beloved Joseph Kenneth Beuer. On May 19, 2023, he passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

            Joseph was born March 26, 1998 in Oxnard, California. From the day he arrived he carried with him a natural light that would later become his signature quality along with his unmistakable smile. He attended Parkview Elementary and Fremont Junior High and graduated from Condor High School with honors and a 4.0. Although he never loved school, he was a natural scholar, choosing shows like National Geographic and the Science channel to watch in his free time and using his charisma and diplomatic skills to bargain and hustle his teachers. 

            Growing up he played soccer for AYSO, baseball at Hueneme Little League, and spent his time with his closest cousins, Matthew, Andrew, Gabby, and Nando. 

          Joseph’s favorite place to be was near the ocean and in the outdoors. He loved to hike, fish, and catch sunsets whenever he could. He valued and loved his family and always went above and beyond to let them know how much they meant to him. 

            Joseph is survived by his mother Katherine Soong, Stepfather Edward Soong, siblings Aleiah, Matt, Jp, Charles, Chris, and Keira; Grandparents Tilley and Butch Ortega, Edward and Tina Montanez, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Beuer, Grandfather Gary Beuer, and Grandmother Virginia Vasquez.

            This loss has devastated us all, but we know the light Joseph gave us will continue to shine and see us through our darkest times. He will forever be loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.

            The family would like to request for guests coming to the service to wear clothing of pale shades of blue, cream / tan in honor of Joseph.
