Joseph John Gamble was called to his eternal home two years ago today, on June 24, 2020. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 18, 1933 to Jim and Jenny Gamble. He attended John Bartram High School in Philadelphia and following graduation, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was a proud Korean War veteran, serving as a flight engineer with the Star Lifter Support Squadron. Joe would go on to settle in Simi Valley, CA along with his wife Antoinette (Mickey) and three children Joe, Jeanne and Nancy. He retired from Teledyne in Newbury Park and spent most of his retirement in the Visalia and Ventura areas.
Joe was key in the creation of several youth sports leagues and would coach Football, Baseball and various other sports in the Simi area. He was a die hard St. Louis Cardinals and Eagles fan. Joe loved to garden, and spent many hours working on electronic repair in his work shop. He worked various electrical odd jobs up until the age of 77.
He continues to be missed by his wife of 65 years, Antoinette (Mickey); his three children; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He will live in our hearts until the day we meet again.
