Kayla “KK” Mae Thiessen, 16, of Camarillo, CA passed away April 30, 2018 ending her two year battle against cancer. She was born March 12, 2002 to Tina Brenner and Shane Thiessen. Kayla was truly an angel here on Earth and spread her light wherever she went. She had a way of touching everyone she met with her pure-hearted kindness and she will be greatly missed.
Kayla loved life and enjoyed exploring the world through her photography. She wanted to show us all what she saw through her eyes and had the privilege to attend an eight-week photography class through The Pablove Foundation. She learned skills that enhanced her natural gift and was a true photographer at heart. Kayla had a passion for all animals, especially her two cats adopted from VCAS. Kayla’s other hobbies included baking, gardening, watching movies, horseback riding, finding “treasures” in thrift stores, camping and spending time at the beach. Kayla also loved school, attended Carden, SRTMS and was currently a sophomore at Rancho Campana High School.
Kayla is survived by her parents, Tina Brenner and Shane Thiessen; her siblings, Jessica and Kristopher Cunningham; grandparents, Christy Baker, Jerrold Brenner, Carol and Mike Barnes, Jim Thiessen and Debbie Thiessen; great grandma, Adele Stuebing-Walsh; aunts, Lynsi and Juliana Thiessen and Kim Dixon; uncles, Jay, Greg, and Robert Thiessen, Tim Brenner and Gerry Dixon; cousins, Addie and Owen Robles; and her cats, Kory and Reese.
