Zinc Matrix Power – incubated 1996, startup president 98-99, very successful year long beta test at the CME, part time consultant 2001 to 2005. Later stage management won at Intel best of show award in 2006 with a more advanced battery.
Cool Planet – incubated mid 08’, startup president mid 09’ to mid 2012, part time consultant 2013. Mike is primary inventor on all 18 Cool Planet’s issued patents and most pending application. He considers the creation of the company’s CoolTerra soil enhancer, to be one of his most important inventions to date. On April 13, 2015 CoolPlanet was named a Bloomberg 2015 New Energy Award Winner. The company has also received numerous other awards per their website.
V-Grid – In 2013, Mike received CoolPlanet board approval to start a project on low cost electricity generation from biomass. In 2014, he received board approval to spin it out as a separate independent company. As of 4-15-2015, all V-Grid team members have prior futurelab experience as well as the company’s F500 project participants. Mike is working 100% of the time on V-GRID technology.
V-Grid is developing and building electricity generation equipment, Cool Planet is focused on renewable liquid fuels. Both companies use Mike’s carbon negative energy approach
