Pedro Domingo

On April 18, 2018, Pedro “Pete” Velasco Domingo, passed away peacefully at his home in Camarillo, CA surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 92.

    He is preceded in death by his wife Corazon B. Domingo and survived by their eight children: Alberto Domingo, Eustace Talens, Evangeline Lara, Edwina Regala, Ariel Domingo, Eloisa Domingo, Balgamel Domingo, Stefany Ilas, their spouses, his seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

   Pedro was born on August 1st, 1925 in Manila, Philippines. As a young man, he worked at Clark U.S. Air Force Base on Luzon Island for 20 years as a Logistics Officer before transitioning as a civilian ally during the Vietnam War to support the American effort. In the late 1970s, he lived in Guam; he moved to Seattle, WA in the 1980s eventually settling in Camarillo, CA in the 1990s. In Camarillo, Pedro worked at Harbor Freight Tools for more than two decades before retiring in his late 80s. Pedro enjoyed playing basketball, going ballroom dancing with his late wife, listening to classical music, reading newspapers before work, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an active communicant at Padre Serra Parish on Upland Road.

   Pedro was a hardworking, selfless, and compassionate family man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. His wonderful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of his children and grandchildren, for he left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Pedro was the patriarch of his family: his family will love and miss him dearly.

    Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the viewing for Pedro Domingo, which will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, (2052 Howard Road, Camarillo) on Friday, April 27 from 9am to 12 noon. There will be a recitation of the rosary starting at 11am.  A Catholic mass will be held at Padre Serra Parish, (5025 Upland Road, Camarillo) on Saturday, April 28, at 10am.  Memorials and condolences may be left at www.ConejoMountain.com.
