Dick and I met about 55 yrs ago in high school and despite the distance between us have remained great friends. Dick was always a gentleman , a great husband and father and loyal to a fault. I know I will miss the long phone chats that we had over the years. Dee, Sarah, and Trisha my deepest sympathy to you. I know you will miss him.

Dear Dee, Sarah, Trish, and extended Families,

We were greatly saddened to hear of Dick's passing and are so sorry for your loss! He truly was a great and kind man to work for at TRW (Mary Jane), but to be able to count him also as a friend was a true privilege for both of us. May God's peace, comfort, and blessings be with all of you during this difficult time!

Our Love,
Dave & Mary Jane

Dick, You will be missed. We first met in High school. You, Ken and I were like the three musketeers. We went everywhere and done everything together. We both went into the Navy and in spite of being assigned to two of the tiniest ships in the Navy, we were still able to meet up overseas and at Treasure Island CA. I especially enjoyed the visit we had when you came to my home here in Colorado Springs. I must admit that I am proud to have had you as one of my best friends.

Dick you will be greatly missed. You were my best friend on the USS Guide. We had a great time on that cruise to Vietnam. Rest in peace my friend.

This is a beautiful tribute to a great man. Although it's been many years since I last saw Dick, I have very vivid and fond memories of him. As a small child, I remember bouncing on his knee, bear hugs, and coming over to the house for a special treat on Halloween. He was a kind and loving man that left an impact on many, I'm sure.

Dee, Sara, Trish, and family - my deepest condolences. Such a hard loss.

Sending love and prayers for peace and strength,

Allison James

I had the honor of serving with Dick on the USS Guide, MSO 447 in Vietnam waters. Dick was always a true friend and stayed true to his values at all times. He consistently had a light hearted attitude in his voice and was fun to talk with. After Vietnam and separation from our Navy days, we only had rare personal contact but we made voice contact through the years and with email. His voice over the phone will be missed. A man with honor and values and honesty and true friendship. A friend will be respectively missed.
