Selina Lee Rogers

(December 7, 1965 - April 13, 2022)

            Born in Port Hueneme, California to John Henry & Barbara Ann Romines,  Selina was the seventh of eight children (Arthea, Sis, Debra-Ann, Fae, John Kirk, Shirley Gale, and Henry).  She went on to marry the love of her life, Chuck, after they met and worked closely together on the Naval Base in Port Hueneme.  Having three boys (Charles, David and Joseph), she never had a dull moment in her life again.  She was very passionate  in spending as much time as humanly possible with her four boys.

            Selina absolutely loved being surrounded by her loved ones.   She enjoyed doing arts & crafts, especially any craft that involved her faith and family.   Always wanting to host family gatherings, whether they be Tea Parties or Disco-Karaoke Nites,  she simply wanted to bring everyone together.   She could make anyone smile with her whimsical sense of humor and loved busting out high notes, both for karaoke and worship.   You would never catch her without bright colors and sparkles incorporated into her daily wardrobe and makeup.  Her shining light was as bright as the clothes she wore. 

            Selina grew up knowing Jesus since a very young age.  She would share the joy of the Gospel through every opportunity she had, including daily devotions with her family, volunteering for The Good News Club, Royal Family Kids Camps, and through any interaction that she had.  She believed that her life's purpose was to spread the joy, love, and word of God. 

            Selina was the light of many people's lives and she will be missed dearly.
