Susan Moreno Hernandez (Dee Dee) was born in Saticoy, California on Aug 11, 1949. She was 68-years-old when she passed away at Saint John’s hospital with her girls by her side.

During her life, Susan worked at Hueneme Elementary School as a yard duty and then a bilingual teacher’s aide. During her nine years at Buddy Burgers, she made numerous friends. She also volunteered at the snack bar for the Hueneme Mermaid League and was a dedicated team mother.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her daughters, grandkids and great grandchildren, taking them to the beach, going to the park to feed the ducks and talking to people. She also enjoyed going out dancing with friends, and to relax, she would crochet blankets. Susan was very generous, helping family, friends and the homeless with as much as she could, and donating to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She will be missed by her daughters, Dolores Hernandez, Mercy Banales, Isabel Hernandez and Josie Rios; sons-in-law, David Banales and Oscar Rios; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her sisters, Helen Zepeda and Margarita Moreno De León, who will miss her dearly. The family is at peace knowing, she is with her true love, our father, Jose Hernandez, her beloved husband, as well as with other beloved family members.

A Rosary, Funeral Service and Graveside Service will be held on Fri, Dec 8th, 2017, beginning at 10am at the Chapel of the Hills at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo, California.
