Taylor J. Dollar, known to many as TJ $, died suddenly July 12, 2017 at the young age of 20 in Thousand Oaks. He was born September 21, 1996 in Santa Barbara, Ca to Jim and Tonya Dollar. He lived most of his life in Newbury Park. He graduated Newbury Park High School in 2015 where he played baseball after playing 10 years of Newbury Park Pony baseball. He was fortunate enough to be part of the 2012 CIF championship at Dodger stadium with his family and friends in attendance. He attended Ventura College and recently received a scholarship from his employer, Brighton Management to attend Cornell University in the fall. He worked for Four Points in Ventura and Hampton Inn in Channel Islands.
Taylor had a passion for the outdoors, including camping, fishing, snowboarding and skateboarding. He loved spending time with his family especially his little sister Emily. He loved baseball and in the past donated his time helping the special needs baseball program, the Vipers.
Taylor is survived by his parents, Jim and Tonya; his brother Zach and his sister Emily, who he adored. He also leaves behind paternal grandparents, Victor and Karen Dollar; and his maternal grandparents Don and Sylvia Dougherty and Adam Viramontez. He is also survived by his Aunt Jeannette, Aunt Wendi, Uncle Josh, Uncle Donny, Great Grandmother Liz, Great Grandmother Darlene and several cousins and other loved ones.
We will miss Taylor dearly, especially his smile and laugh. We know that someday we will see you on the other side. Until then, farewell Buddy.
Memorial Services will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, Chapel of the Hills on Thursday, July 20th at 3:00 P.M. A reception will immediately follow at the same location. A Private family burial will take place at a later time.
