Tibor Rozsa Jr.

Tibor Rozsa (Tibi) Jr. passed away on September 28th surrounded by his loving family after a recent cancer diagnosis. He will be greatly missed as he was a great son, brother, father, uncle and friend to many. Tibor was born in Urhida, Hungary and his family immigrated to America when he was a child.  They eventually settled in Oxnard, CA. He could often be found working at the family grocery store and butcher shop, Anacapa Market, where he met friends who became family.  He graduated from Hueneme High School in 1973 and went on to attend Ventura College and California State University of Northridge. Soon after, Tibor started his own payroll company, Paychecks Plus, servicing Ventura County for over 40 years. During his years of hard work and dedication, many of his clients became his lifelong friends. In 2016, he moved to Gold Beach, Oregon where he enjoyed retired life. 

Tibor’s love of a good joke and classical music will bring sweet memories to those who loved him. His huge smile, belly laugh, storytelling that kept you on the edge of your seat, and amazing cooking will be missed by all.  He was thoughtful and willing to methodically talk through any problem with anyone. He is survived by his father, Tibor Rozsa Sr., sister Maria and brother in law Don Gillispie, nieces and nephews Ann Henry, Donnie, Anika, David and Andrea Gillispie, sister Judy Moreno, along with his children, Tibor III and Christy Rozsa. He will be missed by many cousins and family members throughout the United States and Hungary. 

Memorial services will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home Chapel of the Islands 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo Ca, Saturday, October 23rd at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to Heavenly Gates Hospice (1720 E. Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley, CA 93065).
