Doug Swinehart passed away on May 18, 2017, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Doug is survived by his wife, Doris, children Valerie Griffith(Doug), Tracy and Toby, stepchildren Terri Brucker and Kevin Corcoran, nine grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one sister, Judy Roberts (Jerry) and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Lois Swinehart.

Doug was born July 27, 1942 in Adair, Iowa.  He moved to California shortly after graduation from high school.

He was a respected man in the tropical fish business.  His career in this business, for over 50 years, encompassed owning a tropical fish store, selling tropical fish as well as distributing tropical fish.  Doug was known as a hard-working man but even more so for his love of a good time.  You knew you were in for a great time if Doug was involved!

Doug was a loving, husband father grandfather, great grandfather and brother who valued his family and friends.
