  Kathleen Nolan-Berger, a resident of Camarillo, California for over 50 years, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her brother, Fred Napier and his wife Meredith; daughters, Lisa Peres and husband John, Teryl Simpson and husband Ernie; sons, Todd Nolan and Jeffrey Nolan; granddaughters, Veronica Nunes and Heather Nolan; grandsons, Johnny Peres, Scott Edward Nolan and wife Nekisa; and great-grandsons, Riley Nunes, Nicholas Nunes and Connor Nolan.

   She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Larry David Nolan and Scott Steven Nolan; her first husband and father of her children, Edward Nolan; Walter Berger, whom she married after Edward’s death and who also helped raise her young children.

 Kathleen was born in Kerman, California, daughter of Austin and Helen Napier. She graduated from Fresno State University and became a teacher until she married Edward. She focused on being a homemaker and raising her children until Edward’s passing. At 40 years of age, she went back to school to support her family. She became a registered nurse and worked at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks until she retired.

  There will be a viewing starting at 1:00 P.M. followed by services at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1201 Paseo Camarillo, Camarillo, California 93010. Graveside services will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA 93012.

She was a rock that we built our lives around. While we miss her terribly, we take comfort in knowing that she had a life full of love and faith, and that she is at peace with the Lord.
