I'm forever grateful to Mike for seating Frank Anderson at an electrical bench, seating me at a pascal processor with no hardware I/O, and challenging the two of us to prototype a cutting-edge touchscreen computer. We did -- and Centerpoint grew into a company. You weren't easy to impress, Mike, but you appreciated good engineering. You gave many of us wonderful opportunities to learn and grow.

Having worked with Mike and Charity during the Ohio Scientific days, I was impressed with the innovation and imagination of Mike in the various computers OSI introduced, with most of them being far ahead of the competition of the time. Our company wrote business software that OSI sold, and it was due to the capabilities of the OSI systems and hard disk drive on a microcomputer that the software we built complemented the OSI systems so well. We'll miss you, Mike, and the groundbreaking spirit you brought to your work.

His work on OSI was remarkable and helped mold computers as we use them today. He doesn't get the credit he deserves in this regard, but greatness rarely does.

Maybe my father in the year 1977 brought to Argentina the first and the only one OSI Challenger 2P ever here. With this computer my father was on of the first having a personal computer in our country.
This challenger 2P has been sold to some old computer enthusiastic in Buenos Aires some years ago. With this computer I learned basic and programmed many games invented by me at age of 13 y/o.
I've always been interested about OSI and its creators.
Recently I found this memorial and knew tha M. Cheiky passed away.
Finally, with this memory I want to pay tribute and condolences to this great pioneer of personal computers.
