I’m so thankful on this Thanksgiving Day to have had such a truly wonderful mom all my life! She was strong, caring, resilient, inspiring, and loving. I could always depend on Mom for her support and advice when I needed someone to turn to. We were such a great team, my sister, Mom, and me. I feel such a great loss and void in my life but know that her spirit is always with me. I love you, mom!

Mirian

You were the door opener for me into the lovely Conejo Valley Writers Group. You leave quite a legacy and remain the youngest and most vibrant 90-year old I know!

Blessings on your next great adventure, dear Mirian,, and love to your family and friends who will feel the (w)hole of your leaving.

love,
midi .

Dearest Mirian,

Although we met through you hiring me to take Honey for walks, you quickly became a friend as well. We shared many talks and stories and I always enjoyed that extra time to sit and chat with you. Your stories were fascinating , and I will miss them! You put my mind at peace when my aunt had passed and were a good support system, thank you!

You will be missed by many, and I feel so very blessed to have been a small part of your life!

With fond memories and love,
Kristin

Mom,
You will always be my guiding light and the source of my inner strength.
I didn't truly appreciate all that you did for me and all that you meant to me until I had children of my own.
I am sorry for all of the times I took you for granted but I am blessed that I did finally grow enough to understand the love that you had been giving me all along.
I love you and I miss you.

Paul, Cindy, Karen, & Chuck,
Since hearing about your Mother*s death, I have been thinking of the times and the stories I remember about your Mother. Always I remember her beauty and mind. She never failed to amaze me.
I know you have million more "times" then me and I pray you use these to help you through the next few days. My only true comfort during this "season of pain" is that she is with her Lord & Savior. It just so happens that my minister preached on heaven yesterday. Look up the verses: Rev:21:9-22:5. It talks about the beauty and the size of heaven. It talks about the Pearly Gates, the streets of gold and the jewels of it's walls.
There is no need of light, for GOD is the light and there is no night. But most importantly we shall see GODS' face.
I know that her care fell mostly on Karen & Cindy and I hope you two will find rest and look on the time you spent with your Mom with joy.
I truly wish things were different and I could be there to hug all of you

REMEMBER YOU ARE LOVED , not only from this LA. girl but most importantly loved by the KING.

I met Mimi a few years ago when she started a Read & Critique group for the Conejo Valley Writers group. She was instrumental in encouraging me along my writing journey, and continued her support throughout the years. As I became more involved with the group, we worked together on some little projects and she became a treasured friend. I loved her dry wit and sharp mind. She could turn a phrase like a pro. Her Southern drawl and charm will be long remembered. There will be an empty place at our monthly meeting, as well as in our hearts, for our dear writing partner, Mimi. Farewell, lovely lady.

Mom, you touched so many people with you love, talents and stories. Your life itself was a great story how you paved the way for women with being the first woman juror in New Orleans. This was only one example. Growing up I remembered you were always busy fighting for the poor, hadicapped and elderly's rights. And with your many talents in art, it was always exciting seeing all the artists painting in the art schools. Hiw you had time for all of this, being a wife and raising four children still puzzles me. Your charsmatic personality instantly drew people of all ages to you. They loved your fun and light-hearted ways. I will miss you, everyday!. Your Loving Daughter, Karen
